All of my extra time as a worker bee was hidden from me in the wrinkles of keeping up.
As a retired tech jet stream nerd, hind sight is crystal clear. I gave way, way too much for nothing but a little money. Nerds don’t age well in the workforce. Eventually I just slipped out the back. Became a tiny farmer.
I’ve learned the beauty of going slow. Taking time to smoke a pipe, and pull a fresh coffee? Essential.
Basically? Tiny farming is follow the seasons. That’s the whole plan. Details emerge every day – as I get interested in them. There’s no pressure.
If I don’t harvest those apples, the deer will love ’em.
The biggest benefit of minimalism? It’s self-defining. For me it meant finding big chunks of clock I didn’t know I had to enjoy.
